Ribbon Cutting: A Classic Theatre
Thursday, October 3, 2024 (5:30 PM - 6:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
The Ribbon Cutting is celebrating the season opening of A Classic Theatre, beginning with "Bakersfield Mist," presented as a collaboration with the St. Augustine Art Association to commemorate their 100th anniversary.
What makes art valuable? What makes people valuable? Based on a real events, "Bakersfield Mist" tells the story of Maude, who finds a painting at a thrift store and eventually believes it's a Jackson Pollock. She enlists Lionel, an art appraiser to authenticate the painting. The clash of these two very different people uncovers questions of authenticity at times hilarious and deeply moving.
