St. Johns County is experiencing unprecedented health care growth, with more than $350 million in building permits pulled for new medical facilities in 2024-25. These construction projects will bring more than 3,500 new jobs to our region.

Kyle Dorsey | President | Baptist Medical Center South

Kyle Dorsey serves as hospital president of Baptist Medical Center South, responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the hospital that serves the fast-growing south Jacksonville and north St. Johns area. He joined Baptist Health in 2014 and has since led significant initiatives to enhance services, develop the workforce, and care for the community. Dorsey is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

Dorsey is also a member of the Board of Directors at Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center, LifeSouth Community Blood Center, the North Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the UNF Health Administration Advisory Board, and the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors. 


Kimberly Diaz | Vice President, Ambulatory Enterprise | UF Health St. Johns

Kimberly Diaz serves as vice president of ambulatory enterprise with UF Health St. Johns, where she is responsible for planning and executing strategic initiatives to achieve programmatic growth, network strength, standardization, efficiency and a five-star consumer experience across all aspects of the UF Health St. Johns Ambulatory Enterprise.

During her extensive experience in physician practice, outpatient and ambulatory operations, she has successfully grown and facilitated new service lines, as well as optimized existing services. She has nearly 10 years of experience in the legal industry, which has frequently proven beneficial across a variety of projects and initiatives.


Mike Shaw | Chief Strategy Officer | Ascension Florida

Mike Shaw serves as chief strategy officer for Ascension Florida, where he leads strategic development and execution, service lines, business development and marketing for a $3.2 billion health system encompassing nine hospitals and more than 190 sites of care.

Throughout his Ascension career beginning in 2014, Shaw has held progressive roles in strategy, finance and operations, including senior director of corporate strategy, leading the strategic planning process and developing the Ascension Operating Model and Strategic Growth Framework.
