About

The Arc of the St. Johns is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has proudly served St. Johns County since 1972, empowering children, adults, and families impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities, early developmental delays, autism, and related medical complexities.

Through innovative education, behavioral health, employment, residential, recreation, community engagement, and community-based programs, we empower individuals and families by providing specialized supports, connecting them with essential community resources, and creating pathways to greater independence, opportunity, and an enhanced quality of life. Serving more than 400 individuals across multiple campuses and two public charter schools, we believe that strong partnerships and a connected community are the foundation for helping every individual reach their fullest potential.

Community partnerships are at the heart of everything we do. By connecting community resources, businesses, organizations, volunteers, and local leaders with our mission, we create opportunities that enrich lives while strengthening the fabric of St. Johns County. These relationships not only expand the impact of our own programs but also enable us to connect individuals and families with the many valuable services, supports, and resources available throughout our community. Whether through collaboration, shared expertise, employee engagement, or community initiatives, every partnership helps increase access, foster belonging, and build a stronger, more connected St. Johns County.
