St. Johns County is experiencing unprecedented health care growth, with more than $350 million in building permits pulled for new medical facilities in 2024-25. These construction projects will bring more than 3,500 new jobs to our region.

Rob Deininger | President & CEO | AdventHealth East Florida Division

Rob Deininger is the president and CEO for AdventHealth’s East Florida Division, which includes the health system’s facilities in Volusia, Lake and Flagler counties. He oversees the strategic direction, development and execution of key strategies that support the total network of care and helps build influential relationships with key constituents, community partners and consumers. Prior to this role, Deininger has held other executive roles with AdventHealth, including as system incident commander for AdventHealth’s pandemic response. Before joining AdventHealth, Deininger spent 13 years as a commercial airline pilot at various airlines, where he logged more than 8,000 hours of flight time, mentored new pilots and trained flight crews in communication, conflict resolution techniques and process standardization.

Deininger is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Society for Quality, and the Society of Research Administrators.


Kyle Dorsey | President | Baptist Medical Center South

Kyle Dorsey serves as hospital president of Baptist Medical Center South, responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the hospital that serves the fast-growing south Jacksonville and north St. Johns area. He joined Baptist Health in 2014 and has since led significant initiatives to enhance services, develop the workforce, and care for the community. Dorsey is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

Dorsey is also a member of the Board of Directors at Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center, LifeSouth Community Blood Center, the North Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the UNF Health Administration Advisory Board, and the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors. 


Kimberly Diaz | Vice President, Ambulatory Enterprise | UF Health St. Johns

Kimberly Diaz serves as vice president of ambulatory enterprise with UF Health St. Johns, where she is responsible for planning and executing strategic initiatives to achieve programmatic growth, network strength, standardization, efficiency and a five-star consumer experience across all aspects of the UF Health St. Johns Ambulatory Enterprise.

During her extensive experience in physician practice, outpatient and ambulatory operations, she has successfully grown and facilitated new service lines, as well as optimized existing services. She has nearly 10 years of experience in the legal industry, which has frequently proven beneficial across a variety of projects and initiatives.


Sean McAfee | CNO/COO | Ascension St. Vincent's

Sean McAfee is a Northeast Florida native who served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy Reserves. After his honorable discharge, he dedicated his career to healthcare leadership, bringing more than 25 years of progressive operational and clinical experience.

McAfee has been with Ascension St. Vincent's for more than 10 years and currently serves as chief nursing officer and chief operating officer at St. Johns County Hospital. He oversees clinical operations, quality and safety of care, patient and associate experience, regulatory compliance and overall organizational performance.

His leadership responsibilities include hospital operations, service line development, strategic planning, physician relations, business development and project management. McAfee is recognized for his mission-driven leadership, operational expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to the communities he serves.
