At the Economic Development Council breakfast on Friday, Dec. 6, hear from David Altig, executive vice president and chief economic advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He will share information about the latest economic policy from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and how it affects business and industry in our region. He will also discuss inflation and the impact it has on business, and provide a national economic forecast focusing on key performance indicators to keep an eye on in the coming months.

David Altig is executive vice president and chief economic adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He serves on the executive leadership team for the Bank's economic mobility and resilience strategic priority, is an executive cosponsor of the Working Families Employee Resource Network, and is an adviser to the executive leadership committee. Altig is a fellow and immediate past president of the National Association for Business Economics, and he is a member of the advisory council of the Global Interdependence Center and its College of Central Bankers and a member of the National Business Economics Issues Council. He serves on the board of the Konstanz Seminar on Monetary Theory and Policy. He has past and pending published research in several prominent professional journals, including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Econometrics, the Journal of Monetary Economics, and the National Tax Journal.
