Betty Betty Griffin Center is bringing back the Quarter Auction fundraiser – an event that’s part raffle, part auction – with all proceeds used to support our free services that include shelter operations, counseling, advocacy, and community education services provided to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in St. Johns County.
Tickets are available for $40 plus processing fees per person to take part in auction, which includes mimosas, beer, and lunch from award-winning Rub'N'Butts Barbeque. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.ticketsignup.io/TicketEvent/QuarterAuction.
At the quarter auction, participants receive a numbered paddle and a corresponding numbered ball placed into a drawing bin, with the opportunity to bid on an auction item in each round of play — with bids starting at one quarter. Once all the bids are in and the paddles are raised, a randomly chosen number is called. If the person with that number placed a bid, he or she wins that item. Numbers are drawn until there is a winner.
