Payson Tilden | Executive Director | Ximenez-Fatio House Museum
Payson Tilden is a fourth-generation native Floridian and a graduate of the University of Florida. After spending 10 years living in France, she returned to the United States and built a career as an energy conservation project director with community action agencies in Virginia and Michigan, and later with JEA, Jacksonville’s municipal utility. Shortly after retiring from JEA in 2020, she stepped into what was meant to be a “temporary” role as director of the museum. Five years later, she continues to share her passion and deep knowledge, helping bring the history of our nation’s oldest city to life for visitors from around the world.
